Yes…Greeting Cards are still fashionable!
Fashiona finished writing out her Holiday cards yesterday and will drop them in the mail this afternoon. Yes…she knows that she could send out e-cards or text greetings and she does for certain occasions.
Over the last 10 years, Fashiona has evolved into a New York City sophisticate, but she is still a Southern Girl at heart. The kind that believes in sending certain things via snail mail:
- Thank you notes or cards
- Christmas cards
- Birthday cards
- Anniversary cards
- Wedding invites
- Valentine’s Day
- Mother’s and Father’s Day
- Bridal shower invites
- Baby shower invites
Photo Cards are gaining popularity and companies from Kodak Gallery to Snapfish are answering the call. Fashiona hasn’t done these yet but she does believe in the powers of Adobe PhotoShop and other photo editing software.
PhotoHand.com does an excellent job “fixing” those less than perfect photos and upgrading them into beautiful portraits. Fashiona sent them this photo she had impulsively taken while waiting for a cab to take her to a film screening:
Val from PhotoHand worked his magic, after reminding Miss Fashiona that cell phones are not the best cameras. Duly noted. Fashiona loved the attitude of the shot and wanted to use it with her Christmas letter that she planned on inserting in her cards. She asked Val to remove the heater and the color to create a stellar black and white shot.
Voila…here was the result.
She wanted to add the tag line “Isn’t she lovely” but decided against it since they were for Christmas Cards…but she is a cutie
N’est pas!
Thanks PhotoHand.com from

My exroommate and I like to send each other cards every now and then. I love getting mail that isn’t bills or junk. We also like to write letters in them so that makes them even more fun.
I’m with ya, I send all those things via mail. I send very little only through email. I will send those greeting in both forms sometimes.

Well, Fashiona because of you and my best friend I started to send Christmas cards. Yours is in the mail. My best friend is really great at sending me personalized and thoughtful cards for every occasion. Maybe PhotoHand did a good job because the subject is flawless.
I like sending and receiving e-cards. When I get a card in the mail, I’m always afraid to toss it. Almost like knowing when to discard flowers.
