Fashiona on the Victoria Secret Fashion Show
Fashiona just watched this year’s Victoria Secret Fashion Show this weekend. I know you are saying “it was on last week” but Fashiona has a lot going on in her world and she wanted to give the much anticipated show her undivided attention.
The creators really put on a fab show - a full scale production. Sure the women are flawless but you could tell that they were enjoying themselves and hamming it up for the cameras. The energy was high and the vibe was playful and fun….and Usher was the ultimate showman.
Yes…it was over the top with the gigantic wings and million dollar covered bras. - That is the whole point to bring glamor and sexy back. Fashiona thought Miami was an excellent choice - it is hot and steamy and so were the styles.
Fashiona is so loving the tiny tap pants and boy shorts, equally sexy and so much more comfortable than thongs- Sorry boys.
So let’s find the trends amid the lingerie:
- Belts are very much in, both wide and skinny and very flattering when worn correctly at your natural waist.
- Make-up is light and shimmery-especially around the eyes.
- Thigh highs are in and drop dead sexy. I think men will agree with me on this one. Ladies, the next time you and your guy have a “stuffy” function to attend; wear some thigh high or stockings with garters. Informing him (or showing him) will keep his attitude positive in public and quite attentive in private.
- Hair is loose and flowing- not too overdone. If you have curls and waves put down the straightening iron and embrace your natural style.
- Heels, heels and more heels- Holiday gatherings call for Champagne heels . If you can wear them to your sensible job… put them away and get a more attention grabbing pair- yes the ones that hurt a wee bit.

Is it wrong that I started wearing thigh highs (with the garter belt) at 16? My junior prom was my first time wearing the thigh highs and garter belt. I could never stand the compression around the tummy with hose, so I bought the garter belt and thigh highs. It also makes going to the ladies room much easier….
Let’s face it, such things make US feel sexy and if WE feel sexy, everyone is happy.
And YAY on the boyshorts thing. I HATE thongs! If I am standing only, ok, but if there is to be sitting involved, god help me. I will take the cute little undies over thongs any day.

I missed it because of Law and Order. Sorry I love my Law and Order. That show was for the Sexy. Thanks for the write up and the You Tube clip. Now I feel like I have not missed a thing.

*Kelly: No it isn’t wrong that you discovered stockings early in life. A lot of woman prefer because of the built in air conditioning. Also before pantyhose where popular, stockings with garters were regular wear. It is only recently that they are being sex objects because women don’t wear them as often.
