Grandeur Fashion Galore-”Urban” Fashion Shines

Urban is a broad term that is often used as catch all for “Black” fashion.  Just like not all Black designers are “urban” -  Tracey Reese …not all “urban” designers are Black - hence Marc Echo.

Last night Fashiona and Day braved the stormy weather to attend Grandeur’s Fashion Galore at the posh 320 Studios in Manhattan.  Jocelyn, CEO of Grandeur Events put on a full scale Urban fashion extravaganza: from the sheer gold curtains on the  windows to the T shaped white raised runway to the top shelf open bar to designers with varied backgrounds to models of every color and size.

Day (Divine Richards) snapped pictures from all 6 designers showing.   you-me.jpg

While Day (shown on the left)captured the looks on film, Fashiona filled up a notebook capturing every logo, every detail from fabric to accessories-marking the first Fashiona/Day collaboration.

Tatjana Sile from Lativa opened the show with her stunning cosmopolitan cocktail dress collection.  The front look is a sheer embellished top with a wool straight skirt and accented grey bow belt.  The model is the rear of the shot is wearing a  black satin corseted top with a  swing chiffon skirt- Divine

Fashiona, another great view on Urban fashions. I excepted to see more female designers then male designers. I could not tell from looking at the designs on the runway if the designer(s) were male or female . They did a excellent job designing. But they did keep one thing true to Urban lifestyle…C.P. Time!
