Inside Fashiona’s Dress Decision
Wait, were you are expecting a screaming match between Mom and Fashiona at the store!! Come on, these are the real suburbs not those on Wisteria Lane or Peyton Place (Google it if you were born after 1980).
True, Fashiona is a fashion obsessed teenager, but she is smart one that knows Mom rules the pocketbook and the final sanction of the dress.
Fashiona knows what is in Teen Vogue, the entire cheerleader squad keeps her up to date, so she subscribes to Vogue(the real one) and Cosmo. Pastel colors are in as are short, hair net short…(Think about it… yikes) dresses are in.
She applies the economic principle, Supply and Demand - Teeny dresses in ICE CREAM colors prices go up and all other types and “Mom approved” hem lines go down. Her econ teacher will be proud and even prouder when she aces the final
Fashion decides that timing is PERFECT to capture the black dress of the year. Mom is happy with the price
and length of the dress and Fashiona is delighted with the look.
Lesson learned: You can look like a million without spending a million.
Remember the motto:Plot, Save, Plan.
Lesson 2: When Mom is happy, everybody is happy.
Lesson 3: Only leave Date downstairs with Dad and his gun collection for 5 minutes tops. The Homecoming Date fainted and well… it went downhill from there.
